We have David to thank for that helpful General Evaluator Guide! posted to our website! It was a packed meeting and I walked away with new ideas and knowledge. I look forward to attending the next meeting!
It's all right Diane... :) Lots of people spell my name incorrectly... It's tough because it's spelled so differently from what people are used to... So no worries :)

Tonight, the club was back in full swing after a brief hiatus for contests. We had an action packed evening with four speakers: Melissa Rouseau, Susan Ryan, Matt Burkhardt, and Bill Moran. Melissa gave a very engaging Ice Breaker. She was charisma...

Hi Diane,
Last night I mentioned posting your General Eval for last night's meeting online. If you look in the forum section, you'll see mine from the 9-21-09 meeting and David's from the week before. Nancy was the person who showed me how to do it if you need help.
Regards,
Sue
Of course I'm coming Monday! I completely empathize with you--the last meeting was not fun at all--too much focus on following the rules and succeeding at competition and not enough focus on being supportive and laughing and having fun. Heck, even if you looked at the topics of the three speeches--they were all motivational speeches and not the usual fun mix of stuff i.e. converting from analog to digital TV, or why we're going through an economic meltdown. Interesting stuff.
For what it's worth, here are my words of wisdom (and it goes without saying that they are worth what you paid for them): First, Monday's meeting will be 120 minutes; of that, your part will be 4.5 minutes. That's 3.3% of the meeting--nothing too much to stress over in terms of focusing on your own performance. Second, you're there to cheer on your Huntington Toaster colleagues and to make comments about that woman that I hated behind her back--oh yes, and to keep me company!. And last, when this is over, you'll be proud of yourself that you participated. And if you're not, then I will be proud of you for participating.
